The name “PJ’s and Coffee” originates from how our group of writers, foodies and reviewers came together to become a team. Some of us were self employed, some had home offices, one was semi-retired, and others were either stay-at-home parents or had flexible work schedules.

Over time, we would find ourselves, either collectively, or individually, working less, dressing later, and chatting, texting, blogging, and writing about food. Whatever the topic, we could find ourselves still in our “PJ’s” and drinking coffee late into the day. When we did make it out, it was often to meet for lunch at the latest and greatest eatery to discuss the upcoming opening of the next hot spot. Conversations were light, fun and casual.

We want to emulate that feeling here on our food blog. We hope to communicate a sense of community, friendship, a love for food and most essentially, pride in our local neighborhoods.

Restaurants and food are our passion, however, we are interested in sports and politics too.  So, there may be the occasional shout out to our favorite baseball or football teams. Please feel free to express your opinion on the topics we discuss, but please be polite. We want to have an open forum but do not wish to be offensive to anyone.
