Spring Menu arrives at StoneRose Conshohocken

Sesame Crusted Yellow Fin Tuna with Coconut Risotto Cakes

Spring has arrived to The StoneRose Restaurant, in more ways than one! With April 1st comes the much anticipated outdoor dining season in Conshohocken, and with that, soon follows the launch of  new spring menus. The uber- popular, trendy, New American celebrates spring with patio seating, as well as, with plates bursting with colors. In the above photo, yellow fin tuna is accompanied by mango, papaya and cucumber salsa. Not only are the colors pleasing to the eyes, but the texture of the cucumber, coupled with the fresh flavors of mango and papaya  make this dish delightful to devour!

Sweet and Spicy Calamari

Spring Salsa

New appetizers this season include a Spring Salsa of fresh strawberries, mango, red onion, and Pablano peppers served with toasted pita; Sweet and Spicy Calamari  and Tuna Tartare. As always, Chef Jason Mase creates a delightful seasonal soup daily.

Duck Salad

Freshening up the lunch and salad menu is the spring version of StoneRose‘s Duck Salad. Crispy duck confit, which is sourced locally, is served with toasted goat cheese, fresh strawberries, toasted almonds and a strawberry balsamic vinaigrette.

Cuban Pulled Pork

The lunch menu sees the return of a former favorite in the Wagyu Kobe Sliders, which are served with bacon and blue cheese on toasted challah from Wild Flour Bakery and served with the already famous hand cut Kennebec fries. New to the menu is the house roasted Cuban pulled pork sandwich served with Swiss cheese, whole grain pickle spread on toasted ciabatta bread from Conshohocken Italian Bakery. Also new this season is the Chopped Salad of local mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, candied pecans, radishes and chipolte dressing.

Conshohocken’s only Dark and Stormy

Strawberry Chocolate Martini

The always wine centric, gastropub has added delightful new wines, as they do monthly, and soon to be released, is the Owner’s List of specially selected vintages. In addition, there a new seasonal craft beers on tap as well as several refreshing new cocktails.

The new menus are posted in their entirety below:

The Stone Rose Burger

Could this be the star that steals the show?

StoneRose Burger

If you follow us on Twitter, by now you have had a peek at the burger that has stolen the hearts of the early visitors to Conshohocken’s newest gastropub. The creation of Executive Chef Jason Lipnicki, The StoneRose Burger features the very same beef  the now infamous, Square Burger.

Jason credit’s Geechee Rice Girl’s Chef/Owner Valerie Erwin with teaching him the technique behind The StoneRose’s signature StoneRose Burger, which has been a best seller since the restaurant opened just a week ago. The burger is seared on a salt bed in a dry, hot, cast iron skillet allowing the salt to cook into the burger creating a salty exterior without over saturating the Premium Gold Angus.

Sauteed chopped Cipollini Onions are combined with diced Bacon to create a hearty relish of sorts, offering the burger intense flavor, while making it easier to eat than a standard burger which may have strips of bacon and large strands of sauteed onions. The cheese is Cooper Sharp. The burger tops an Artisan Challah Roll from Wild Flower Bakery. Fries are thick cut and made with Kennebec Potatoes. They are served with a savory mayo based remoulade. The StoneRose Burger and Fries $11.

Since this is the 2ND post regarding a burger in the past 2 weeks. We feel a disclaimer is in order! It is a coincidence that in the brief month that our blog has been live that The Whiskey King and The StoneRose Burger would garner so much attention. While burgers are an important category amongst our 160+ search features, and we do review them for our site, we also respect the experts in this city! In no way are we trying to be The Burger Baroness, or Burgatory!

We look forward to reading many more blog posts on this burger and see if others agree that this is a mighty tasty burger!

Preview the entire StoneRose menu here.

The Grand Opening is scheduled for tomorrow night!
